Fire fighters with the City of Roseburg Fire Department extinguished an unattended homeless camp fire along the South Umpqua River in Gaddis Park on Wednesday night.

Fire Chief Monte Bryan said the fire was called in at about 7:30 p.m. A smoke plume could be seen from across the river. Bryan said crews were able to put out the fire in a short period of time.
