Douglas County Commissioners are reminding citizens that county government offices will close next Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

That includes the courthouse, justice building, museum, courthouse annex, transfer stations, landfill and all external county government offices. However, the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum, its café and gift shop, lighthouse tours and art gallery will be open for normal business hours.

Even when government offices are closed, many officials and public employees will still be working including law enforcement, Douglas Public Health Network staff and others.
