COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state death toll to 2,618, as of Saturday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 509 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 198,356. The new cases include:

*64 in Multnomah County

*60 in Marion County

*51 in Washington County

*45 in Clackamas County

*44 in Deschutes County

*31 in Lane County

*30 in Linn County

*29 in Jackson County

*28 each in Douglas and Klamath counties

*12 each in Josephine and Yamhill counties

*11 in Umatilla County

*10 in Polk County

*9 in Jefferson County

*8 each in Columbia and Crook counties

*6 in Wasco County

*4 each in Coos and Morrow counties

*2 each in Benton, Curry, Harney, Hood River, and Lake counties

*1 each in Grant and Lincoln counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 91. 3 lived in Klamath County. 2 lived in Marion County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 258, which is 27 fewer than on Friday. There are 74 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Friday.

OHA reported 37,113 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 21,756 doses were administered on Friday. 15,357 were administered on previous days but were entered into the immunization registry on Friday.
