COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,606, as of Thursday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 603 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 197,356. The new cases include:

*90 in Multnomah County

*74 in Washington County

*73 in Clackamas County

*51 in Marion County

*46 in Linn County

*42 in Deschutes County

*36 in Lane County

*25 in Douglas County

*24 in Umatilla County

*19 in Jackson County

*18 in Josephine County

*17 in Yamhill County

*15 in Klamath County

*10 in Coos County

*9 in Polk County

*8 in Crook County

*7 each in Columbia and Harney counties

*6 in Benton County

*5 each in Jefferson and Wasco counties

*4 in Malheur County

*3 each in Clatsop and Morrow counties

*2 in Lincoln County

1 each in Baker, Curry, Hood River, and Union counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 64 to 88. 2 lived in Klamath County. 1 each lived in Douglas, Baker, and Benton counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 301, which is 5 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 77 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 1 fewer than on Wednesday.

OHA reported that 37,228 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 20,028 doses were administered on Wednesday. 17,200 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
