1 more person has died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 17 more people have received new positive test results, and 1 presumptive has been moved to positive with a positive test result, as of Wednesday.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Bob Dannenhoffer said the 72nd death was a 66-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on April 21st and passed away on Tuesday.

An update from the Douglas County COVID-19 Response Team said the total number of cases is now at 3,352. Of those, 3,193 are people that have received positive test results, and 159 are presumptive. 14 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 8 locally and 6 outside the area. 129 people are in isolation. 284 people are in quarantine. That means the staff with the Douglas Public Health Network are supporting 413 people that are either in isolation or quarantine. That is an increase of 48 people since Tuesday.
