Just over 16 percent of registered voters have cast their ballot in the Douglas County 2021 Special Districts Election as of late Monday, with the deadline to vote looming.  That is 13,676 ballots.

Douglas County Clerk Daniel Loomis said voters can still utilize any of the 15 official election drop sites. A list of the sites is linked: https://douglascounty-oregon.us/179/Official-Drop-Site-Locations They will be open until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Loomis said at that time, elections staff will produce the preliminary unofficial results and transmit them to the Oregon Secretary of State Elections Office. The results can be viewed: https://results.oregonvotes.gov/ResultsSW.aspx?type=CTYALL&cty=07&map=CTY.

Collected ballots that come in from outlying election drop sites will be processed as they are received. Upon completion of the remaining tallying, final unofficial results will go to the Secretary of State Elections Office. Final official results will be certified and posted on June 7th.
