A Roseburg man was jailed after wrecking a stolen vehicle early Thursday.
A Roseburg Police report said at 12:30 a.m. 30-year old Justin Wilkins allegedly drove recklessly and collided with a second vehicle in the 900 block of Northeast Stephens, causing damage in excess of $2,500. The report said that Wilkins fled the scene because the mini-van was stolen.
Wilkins was contacted later at a nearby motel. The vehicle was an Enterprise Rent-A-Car which had been entered as stolen out of Newport. The suspect had reportedly repainted the mini-van and switched the plates.
