COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,522, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 844 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state death toll to 189,986. The new cases include:

*146 in Multnomah County

*104 in Clackamas County

*94 in Washington County

*87 in Deschutes County

*80 in Marion County

*71 in Lane County

*44 in Linn County

*42 in Klamath County

*36 in Jackson County

*16 in Benton County

*14 in Yamhill County

*12 each in Crook, Jefferson and Polk counties

*11 in Douglas County

*10 each in Columbia and Umatilla counties

*7 in Josephine County

*5 in Grant County

*4 each in Hood River and Union counties

*3 each in Clatsop and Harney counties

*2 each in Baker, Lincoln, Wasco and Wheeler counties

*1 each in Gilliam, Lake, Malheur, Morrow and Tillamook counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 57 to 100. 3 lived in Multnomah County. 1 each lived in Coos, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson and Marion counties.

OHA said the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon is 324, which is 4 fewer than on Thursday. There are 90 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is unchanged from Thursday.

OHA reported that 54,747 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 31,750 doses were administered on Thursday. 22,987 were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.
