A transient was jailed after reportedly camping in a garage.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday night at 9:30 p.m. a victim in the 200 block of Glide Loop Road reported hearing strange noises in her detached garage. Deputies responded and along with K9 Grimm located Michael Warner inside the garage. Warner told a deputy that he had permission to be in the garage from a conversation he had with the homeowner 15 years ago.

The report said the victim indicated she had never given anyone permission to be there. A large amount of trash, and belongings were found and there was a putrid smell where Warner had been camping in the victim’s pickup.

Warner was charged with second-degree burglary, offensive littering and for a warrant. Bail was set at $76,250.
