COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,514 as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 763 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 189,162. The new cases include:
*115 in Multnomah County
*107 in Washington County
*95 in Deschutes County
*72 in Marion County
*70 in Lane County
*42 in Linn County
*38 each in Clackamas and Jackson counties
*31 in Klamath County
*20 each in Polk and Yamhill counties
*14 each Benton and Crook counties
*13 in Douglas County
*12 in Baker County
*9 each in Columbia, Josephine and Umatilla counties
*5 in Malheur County
*4 each in Curry and Jefferson counties
*3 each in Clatsop and Grant counites
*2 each in Hood River, Lincoln, Wallowa and Wasco counties
*1 each in Harney, Lake, Morrow, Tillamook and Umatilla counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 50 to 69. 1 each lived in Josephine, Jackson, Klamath, Linn and Marion counties.
OHA said the total number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon is 328, which is 2 fewer that on Wednesday. There are 90 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 7 more than on Wednesday.
OHA reported that 36,259 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total 23,539 doses were administered on Wednesday. 12,720 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
