COVID-19 CASE AT ROSEBURG HIGH SCHOOL, GIRLS BASKETBALL AFFECTED

May 4, 2021 2:30 p.m.

There is a case of COVID-19 at Roseburg High School.

Superintendent Jared Cordon of Roseburg Public Schools said the district received confirmation Wednesday of the positive test, from the Douglas Public Health Network. Cordon said those who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.

Roseburg High School girls basketball practices have been canceled for the remainder of the week, due to the positive case and resulting quarantine measures. Practices will resume next week for all students not impacted by the quarantine. Scheduling for the first week of games may require adjustments.

Cordon said students who are in quarantine will transition temporarily to remote learning.
