A 63-year old man was jailed for a weapon law violation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.
A DCSO report said at 6:20 p.m. the suspect and a second man were in a disturbance where they both ended up drawing pistols and firing them into the ground several times. The report said the suspect is prohibited from possessing firearms and the one he had was found to be stolen out of Arizona. The suspect was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $52,500.
Deputies were unable to locate the second man, who left prior to the deputy’s arrival.
