COVID-19 claims 1 more life, raising the state’s death toll to 2,502, as of Monday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 540 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 186,877. The new cases include:

*137 in Multnomah County

*91 in Clackamas County

*74 in Marion County

*56 in Lane County

*49 in Deschutes County

*42 in Linn County

*16 in Jackson County

*12 each in Benton, Polk and Yamhill counties

*10 in Douglas County

*5 in Columbia County

*4 in Lincoln County

*3 each in Clatsop, Crook and Josephine counties

*2 each in Harney and Tillamook counties

*1 each in Baker, Coos, Jefferson, Sherman, Wallowa and Washington counties

The newest death is a 70-year old woman who lived in Douglas County.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 351, which is 65 more than on Sunday. There are 80 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds which is 4 more than on Sunday.

OHA reported that 17,897 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 15,437 doses were administered on Sunday. 2,460 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Sunday.
