There is a positive COVID-19 case at Eastwood Elementary School.

Superintendent Jared Cordon of Roseburg Public Schools said the district received confirmation on Wednesday from the Douglas Public Health Network.

Cordon said at this time, individuals who need to quarantine have been contacted and are at home self-isolating and monitoring for symptoms.

The release said in collaboration with DPHN, the district continues to maintain safety protocols and guidelines established by the Oregon Department of Education and the Oregon Health Authority. At this time, DPHN has not reported evidence of community spread in Roseburg schools.
