A transient was jailed following alleged disorderly conduct incidents on Monday. Information from Roseburg Police said at about 1:40 p.m. the 28-year old woman crossed all five lanes in the 600 block of Southeast Stephens, causing vehicles traveling in every lane to have to stop for her. She was warned of disorderly conduct but the officer continued to watch her as she walked west on Chestnut.

The report said that without looking, the woman stepped out in front of two vehicles, causing them to have to stop for her. After being told she was under arrest, the suspect continued to walk away. The transient allegedly resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground.

She was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and for resisting arrest. Bail was set at $8,750.
