One person was taken to a hospital, following a two-vehicle wreck on Monday.

A report from Sutherlin Police said just before 5:00 p.m. an 88-year old man pulled out of the intersection of South Calapooia Street and Sparks Avenue and hit a second vehicle. A passenger in the first vehicle was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to injuries.

The driver who caused the accident was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
