MAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED PAST INCIDENTS

A Roseburg man was jailed for alleged past incidents on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said on March 9th, 21-year old Michael Mahoney allegedly drove in an erratic manner in an attempt to get away from officers and in doing so almost hit a pedestrian. The report said on April 13th officers attempted a traffic stop near the suspect’s residence. The man ran to his home and was told multiple times that he was under arrest.

On Monday at 8:40 a.m., Mahoney was contacted at Douglas County Courthouse and placed in custody. He was charged with reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, attempting to elude on foot and for third degree escape. Mahoney was held on $25,000 bail.
