COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,484, as of Saturday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority said the total number of cases is now at 179,930. The new cases include:
*130 in Multnomah County
*117 in Washington County
*106 in Clackamas County
*82 in Deschutes County
*70 in Lane County
*65 in Marion County
*47 in Jackson County
*38 in Klamath County
*34 in Linn County
*24 in Yamhill County
*12 each in Benton and Josephine counties
*11 in Douglas County
*10 in Polk County
*8 each in Crook and Umatilla counties
*7 each in Columbia and Curry counties
*6 each in Baker, Tillamook and Wasco counties
*5 in Coos County
*3 each in Jefferson and Union counties
*2 in Hood River County
*1 each in Clatsop, Harney, Lake, Malheur and Wallowa counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 47 to 91. 3 lived in Multnomah County. 1 each lived in Clackamas, Coos, Douglas, Hood River, Marion counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 295, which is 19 more than on Friday. There are 66 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is two more than on Friday.
OHA reported that 53,765 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 29,160 doses were administered on Friday. 24,605 doses were administered on previous days, but were entered into the vaccine registry on Friday.
