For a third day in a row, Oregon had the highest number of daily cases of COVID-19 since mid-January, with the Oregon Health Authority reporting 1,020 new confirmed and presumptive cases and 9 additional deaths, as of Friday.
The new cases include:
*198 in Multnomah County
*120 in Marion County
*103 each in Deschutes and Klamath counties
*102 in Washington County
*82 in Lane County
*63 in Jackson County
*68 in Clackamas County
*23 in Linn County
*18 in Yamhill County
*16 in Crook County
*15 in Polk County
*13 each in Columbia,Josephine and Umatilla counties
*10 each in Baker and Jefferson counties
*9 in Douglas County
*7 in Clatsop County
*6 in Coos County
*5 each in Lincoln, Grant or Hood River counties
*3 each in Malheur, Tillamook and Wasco counties
*2 in Harney County
*1 each in Curry, Morrow, Union and Wallowa counties
The new deaths ranged in age from 58 to 93. 2 lived in Josephine County. 1 each lived in Douglas, Clackamas, Harney, Malheur, Multnomah, Umatilla and Deschutes counties.
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 276, which is 7 fewer than on Thursday. There are 64 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 5 fewer on Thursday.
OHA reported that 49,104 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 30,432 doses were administered on Thursday. 18,672 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.
