A Roseburg home was damaged in a Wednesday night fire.

Fire Chief Monte Bryan with the Roseburg Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of Northwest Highland Street just before 5:40 p.m. Bryan said reports had come in that black smoke was billowing from the back of the residence.

Crews arrived on scene to find both smoke and fire showing from the attic and rear portion of the home. Firefighters determined that all occupants were out of the house. Bryan said the fire was quickly extinguished and overhaul was completed. The fire was contained to the porch and attic space.

Bryan said the home sustained both structural and water damage. One adult was displaced but no one was injured. The American Red Cross is assisting the resident.

Nine firefighters were at the scene. A number of other agencies assisted the Roseburg Fire Department.

Bryan said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
