The annual Glide Wildflower Show begins this weekend and due to COVID-19 will be a virtual show.
Founded in 1965, it’s the largest display of native flora in the northwest. Over 600 species of flowers, shrubs, grasses, ferns, lichens and mosses are gathered by dozens of collecting teams who travel throughout southwestern Oregon from the Cascades to the coast.
Additional displays feature noxious weeds, medicinal plants, natural dyes and photographs of rare and endangered plants.
The show is normally held at the Glide Community Center.
