A man’s vehicles have been located by law enforcement out of state and he has been identified by a civilian witness.

Sergeant Daniel Allen of Roseburg Police said John’s Riley has not been contacted by law enforcement but said a “reliable source” that he had contact with identified him.

Allen said authorities have pinged the 39-year old’s phone, local search and rescue crews have searched for him, and some citizens used drones to check areas Riley was thought to have been in. Allen said Riley is still entered as missing, but he is not believed to be in any danger at this time.

Riley’s last known contact with family members was last Friday, although there was an unconfirmed sighting of him later that day. It was believed that Riley may have been traveling between job sites in the Tyee or Glide areas near the time of his disappearance.

He was last seen driving a white 1999 Ford Super Duty work truck with an amber light bar over the cab. The vehicle was towing a black 2021 Southland SL714 dump trailer, with white and yellow Southland Trailer decals on the side.

Allen said anyone who sees Riley should contact law enforcement.
