A Grants Pass woman was hurt in a Saturday night wreck on Interstate Five.

A report from the Oregon State Police said just after 8:30 p.m. the driver lost control of the northbound vehicle in the Canyonville area and then crashed into a guardrail on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway, causing heavy damage to the sedan.

The woman was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with serious injuries. A dog in the vehicle was not injured and was taken to Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
