The Stewart Park Drive Bridge will be closed for an inspection on Tuesday morning.

The City of Roseburg Public Works Department will have the bridge closed to vehicle and foot traffic from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A release said the annual inspection is required by the Oregon Department of Transportation. ODOT contractors will check the bridge deck, superstructure and substructure conditions to ensure they comply with state requirements.

The bridge serves the south entrance of the Roseburg VA Healthcare System. Traffic to the VA will be re-routed to Northwest Stewart Parkway and then into Stewart Park via Stewart Park Drive. Detour signs will be posted, and flaggers will direct traffic during the closure. Motorists who travel to and from the VA should exercise caution and drive slowly.
