A fugitive was jailed following an alleged shoplifting incident on Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 6:30 p.m. while on another call, an officer saw the shoplifter run out of a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway, and detained him.

41-year old Jonathan Morris was charged with second-degree theft, providing false information to the police, carrying a concealed weapon, unlawful possession of heroin, and for two warrants. Bail was set at $135,000.
