FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9:00 A.M. FRIDAY

April 9, 2021 3:55 a.m.

A Freeze Warning remains in effect until 9:00 a.m. Friday for central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are expected. The conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Forecasters said this is a cold air mass but there may be enough of an inversion for wind machines to be effective in mixing warmer air aloft to the surface.

A Freeze Watch is in place for late Saturday night through Sunday morning.
