MAN JAILED ON STOLEN VEHICLE CHARGES

Roseburg Police jailed a man on stolen vehicle charges on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 10:00 a.m. an officer saw two suspicious males in the alley behind a business in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens. One man was in a black rattle canned pickup which had license plates that had been switched. Both men had warrants for their arrest.

36-year old Nicholas Bragg was trying to use a GM key to start the Toyota. A car lot later reported that the vehicle had been stolen. The pickup was returned to its owners.

Bragg was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, first degree criminal trespass and for the warrant. Bragg was detained without bail. The second man was held for his warrant, and was later released from custody.
