A Freeze Watch is in effect for early Friday morning in central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are possible.
Forecasters said the sub-freezing conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, and could possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. While it is a cold air mass, there may be enough of an inversion for wind machines to be effective in mixing somewhat warmer air to the surface.
The Freeze Watch is in place from 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Friday.
Areas in Jackson, Josephine and eastern Curry county could see temperatures as low as 25 degrees.
