COVID-19 has claimed 5 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,439, as of Thursday.
An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 678 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 168,975. The new cases include:
*108 in Multnomah County
*88 in Jackson County
*69 in Washington County
*65 in Clackamas County
*48 in Marion County
*47 each in Deschutes and Lane Counties
*42 in Klamath County
*27 in Josephine County
*18 in Linn County
*14 each in Douglas and Polk counties
*10 in Columbia County
*9 in Yamhill County
*8 each in Lincoln and Tillamook counties
*7 each in Coos and Grant counties
*6 each in Clatsop .and Umatilla counties
*5 each in Jefferson and Hood River counties
*4 each in Baker, Benton and Crook counties
*3 in Curry County
*1 each in Gilliam, Malheur, Morrow, Union and Wasco counties
OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 168, which is 3 fewer than on Wednesday. There are 38 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 4 fewer than on Wednesday.
OHA reported that 50,429 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 27,783 doses were administered on Wednesday. 22,646 were administered on previous days but were added into the vaccine registry on Wednesday.
