A Roseburg man was jailed then released following a disturbance on Monday.

A report from Roseburg Police said at 7:15 p.m. the 31-year old was allegedly intoxicated as he engaged in an argument with the victim in the 100 block of Atkinson Court. The report said the victim tried to leave but the man grabbed her sweatshirt and yanked her around. The victim did not want to pursue charges, but the physical part of the disturbance occurred in the driveway and caused public alarm.

The suspect was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct but a request was made for the City Attorney to consider additional charged. The man was lodged in jail, but released on his own recognizance.
