A Canyonville woman was jailed for an alleged assault which also involved air freshener on Saturday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 5:40 p.m. dispatchers received a call that the suspect was hitting a victim and had also sprayed air freshener in his face, causing him to not be able to see for a short time.

The victim said he was trying to leave a residence in the 100 block of Lower Canyon Court in Canyonville when the incident took place. The 31-year old suspect told a deputy that she didn’t want the victim to leave or take her stuff.

The woman was charged with fourth-degree assault and for menacing. Bail was set at $12,500.
