The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Winston woman after a reported disorderly conduct incident on Sunday.

A DCSO report said several calls came in saying that Cheree Lyon was high and in the roadway in the 1,000 block of Willis Creek Road. A deputy contacted the 42-year old who was clearly a hazard and refused to move. She resisted arrest but after a brief struggle was taken into custody at about 7:50 p.m.

The report said violation amounts of methamphetamine were allegedly found in her purse and she was cited. Charges included resisting arrest, interfering with a peace officer, and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Lyon was detained on $15,000 bail.
