No one was hurt following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 10:50 a.m. a northbound vehicle encountered a large piece of tread in the roadway near the Oakland exit, causing the driver to come to an uncontrolled stop. A second vehicle, which was behind the first one, headed off to the right and ended up going off the roadway to avoid hitting the other vehicle.

Traffic in the northbound lanes was backed up for a time while the situation was dealt with.
