April 2, 2021 2:40 p.m.

A woman was stabbed early Friday, and Sutherlin Police are seeking a suspect they consider to be armed and dangerous.

Chief Troy Mills of SPD said that crime occurred in the 300 block of South East Front Street in Oakland. Mills said just after 1:15 a.m. dispatchers received a call regarding a 47-year old woman who had been stabbed by her boyfriend. The suspect, identified as 21-year old Elijah Wallace, fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle to the Meadows Mobile Home Park in the 500 block of South State Street in Sutherlin. Mills said there Wallace abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

A multi-agency search of the area was conducted, but Wallace was not located. A knife and other evidence were recovered at the scene, but it is currently unknown if the knife found was used in the stabbing.

Wallace is described as being a slim white male with short black hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall, and approximately 158 pounds.

Mills said the victim was life flighted to an out of area hospital for her injuries. She is in fair condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of Eli Wallace is urged to call the Sutherlin Police Department at 459-2211.
