Wednesday was the hottest day of the year, so far, in Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 77 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That was close to the record for the date, which was 78 degrees, in 1950.

Medford reached 81 degrees. The two cities were the warmest locations in Oregon.
