A Roseburg man was jailed following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday.

A report from Oregon State Police said just before 8:30 p.m. the wreck took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate Five near the Harvard Avenue interchange.

The report said a pickup allegedly side swiped an SUV then veered into the center median concrete barrier before traveling back across both southbound lanes of travel. The pickup came to rest on top of the concrete barrier on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. Witnesses said they observed the pickup driving in a reckless manner prior to the crash.

The report said the adult male driver exhibited multiple signs and symptoms of impairment due to alcohol. The 24-year old was charged with DUII, reckless driving and reckless endangering. He provided a breath sample that showed a blood alcohol level of .13 percent. The driver was released later in the evening.
