An elderly woman was hospitalized after a wreck in Gardiner on Saturday afternoon.

A report from Oregon State Police said at about 12:50 p.m. the 67-year old was northbound on Highway 101 in a sedan when according to witness reports, the vehicle slowed down, drifted into the southbound lane and then into an adjacent ditch. The report said the driver was unaware of what happened. She was later transported to a medical facility to be checked out.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
