Monday’s floor session for the Oregon House of Representatives has been canceled due to a case of COVID-19.

A release from House Speaker Tina Kotek said some individuals who were in the Capitol are still waiting for test results or may need to test. The individual diagnosed with COVID-19 was last in the building on March 16th. Close contacts of that person have already been identified.

In addition, the Speaker has directed the Clerk to begin using computer software to read lengthy bills upon passage to further reduce the risk of virus transmission when the House is in session for the purpose of bill reading.

The next floor session is expected to be on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m.
