A Tenmile woman was taken to the hospital following a single vehicle wreck on Thursday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:30 p.m. the 76-year old was driving in the 5000 block of Olalla Road. She apparently swerved to miss a deer and crashed into a ditch. Her vehicle’s tracks stretched over 75 yards in the ditch.

The driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center before being transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield. She was listed in serious condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.
