Roseburg Police cited a man for theft and false information charges, on Wednesday.

Information from RPD said at about 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a detained shoplifter at Walmart on Northwest Stewart Parkway. The report said the suspect continually provided untruthful information until the officer managed to correctly identify him.

The 22-year old was cited for third-degree theft and for giving false information to police.

He was released after the citation was issued.
