Roseburg High School girls are invited to join the lacrosse team, a nonprofit club sport, affiliated with RHS.

Team manager Felicia Cheatham said no experience is necessary. There will be an informal practice on Wednesday March 31st from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the RHS football field. COVID-19 safety precautions will be observed and masks are required. Cheatham said players should bring a mask, goggles, stick and mouth guard.

The season officially begins on Monday April 5th and ends Saturday May 22nd. Registration will take place Thursday April 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the RHS Student Center.

Cheatham said girl’s lacrosse athletes must complete an online SportsWare account at RHS, as well as have a current sports physical on file with the school’s athletic trainer. They also must register at www.uslacrosse.org.

Cheatham said girl’s lacrosse is not supported financially by the Roseburg School District. All costs associated with running the program are paid directly by the program. The minimum fee is $225 with a commitment to raise $100. A refundable $100 uniform deposit is also required. Scholarships are available based on the need and the current financial status of the club.
