WOMAN JAILED AFTER REPORTED DOMESTIC INCIDENT

A Canyonville woman was jailed after a reported domestic incident on Monday.

A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 6:30 a.m. a victim called dispatch and said the suspect had hit her with a broom stick and had also hit a second victim when he came home. The incident allegedly took place in the 100 block of Lower Court.

When the deputy arrived, he could see that the victim had a large bump on her head and a bruise on her wrist. The suspect said she was fighting with the second victim when the first one tried to intervene.

31-year old April O’Connor was charged with 4th degree felony assault and for harassment. Bail was set at $50,000.
