ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL APPROVES SEVERAL PROJECTS

The Roseburg City Council approved a number of Public Works projects at its Monday night meeting.

Councilors said yes to the West Avenue Water Main Extension Project. Black Pearl Paving and Excavation LLC had the lowest bid at just under $1.2 million dollars. A Construction Management Services contract for the project went to Murraysmith for an amount not to exceed just over $61,000.

The Harrison Street – Harvard Avenue Storm Drain Improvements Project was awarded to Black Pearl for just over $205,600.

The 2021 Pavement Management Program – Phase 1 Project went to Guido Construction for just under $186,000.

A master engineering contract for resident observation services went to i.e. Engineering for an amount not to exceed $100,000.

Rick Williams Consulting presented a Downtown Parking Assessment and Plan presentation which was accepted.

Kelly Peter and Stephen Krimetz were appointed to the Budget Committee while Tobiah Mogavero was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission.

Mayor Larry Rich proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month while April 4th-10th was proclaimed as National Library Week.

Monday night’s meeting lasted for just over ninety minutes.
