MAN JAILED FOR 85 COUNTS OF COMPUTER CRIME

A Roseburg man was jailed and charged for 85 counts of computer crimes, by Roseburg Police on Friday.

An RPD report said starting in September of last year, 42-year old Jeremiah Ulam and another man, allegedly took over the victim’s bank account. The report said several dozen unauthorized transactions were made which totaled nearly $6,000. Ulam was detained on Friday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m. Charges of aggravated identity theft and first- degree theft were added. Bail was set at $250,000.

The second suspect in the case has yet to be contacted.
