A Winston man was cited following an injury accident on Friday.

A Roseburg Police report said at 4:35 p.m. the 21-year old driver left the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Garden Valley and was attempting to negotiate a curve at an unsafe speed. Witnesses said the vehicle fishtailed multiple times across both the southbound lanes of Stewart Parkway, and left the roadway, going through a handrail and crashing into a backyard of a residence.

The report said multiple fences were damaged as well as the handrail. The driver suffered minor injuries to his arm, but was not taken to the hospital. A passenger was not hurt.

The driver was charged with reckless driving and was released on the scene.
