MAN HOSPITALIZED AND CITED FOLLOWING TWO-VEHICLE CRASH

A man was hospitalized and cited following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning.

A report from Roseburg Police said at 10:00 a.m. a 43-year old Myrtle Creek man was traveling westbound on West Harvard and failed to stop at a red light at the intersection with Stewart Park Drive. A 41-year old man driving a City of Roseburg Parks Department pickup was turning eastbound on Harvard from Stewart Park Drive and had a green light. The pickup was hit by the first vehicle, causing it to roll over onto its side.

The first driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center and evaluated for non-life- threatening injuries. He was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
