With 86 percent of Oregonians set to receive stimulus payments, Congressman Peter DeFazio is highlighting the “Get My Payment” tool from https://www.irs.gov. where residents can check the status of their payments.

DeFazio said, “Millions of Oregonians are counting on their Economic Impact Payments to help get through them through this crisis”. He said it is imperative that the Internal Revenue Service gets these funds out the door as quickly as possible.

A release said in most cases, the payments are automatic and no action is necessary to receive them. In total, Oregonians will receive nearly $5 billion in EIPS.

DeFazio said Oregonians can go online and check the status of their payment by going to https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

Individuals earning up to $75,000 annually, heads of households earning up to $112,500 annually and couples earning up to $150,000 annually will receive the full $1,400 per person for themselves and eligible dependents.
