COVID-19 CLAIMS 4 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 2,357, AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 4 more lives, raising the state’s death toll to 2,357, as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 381 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 160,994. The new cases include:

*54 in Multnomah County

*42 in Clackamas County

*39 in Washington County

*31 in Josephine County

*30 in Jackson County

*27 in Marion County

*23 in Coos County

*16 in Lane County

*15 each in Deschutes and Umatilla counties

*13 in Curry County

*12 in Douglas County

*10 in Linn County

*9 in Klamath County

*8 in Lincoln County

*6 in Benton County

*4 each in Clatsop, Grant, Polk and Yamhill counties

*3 each in Crook and Jefferson counties

*2 in Union County

*1 each in Columbia, Harney, Lake, and Wasco counties

The new deaths ranged in age from 66 to 89. 2 lived in Marion County. 1 each lived in Clatsop and Wasco counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 115, which is 1 fewer than on Thursday. There are 30 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, which is 8 fewer than on Thursday.

OHA reported that 39,348 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of that total, 23,038 doses were administered on Thursday. 16,310 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Thursday.

OHA has now administered a total of 710,862 first and second doses of Pfizer, 711,759 first and second doses of Moderna and 27,984 single doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 851 doses of Phizer, 902,200 doses of Moderna, and 54,700 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
