A Roseburg man was jailed following what started out as a trespassing incident on Tuesday.

Information from Roseburg Police said at about 2:10 p.m. the 56-year old was contacted in the alley behind Big Lots on Northeast Stephens, where he was sitting underneath a “no trespassing” sign. An officer ran a routine records check and discovered the suspect had four failure to appear warrants out of Clackamas County.

The man was detained due to those warrants.
