Applicants are needed for the Douglas County Planning Commission.
A release from the Board of Commissioners said the group is a seven-member advisory and decision-making body. Members represent differing interests, geographic areas and occupations. The term of appointment is for four years. Priority will be given to applicants who can represent the southern and coastal regions of the county.
The release said the commission advises the county on land use activities, serves as the appeal body for contested land use decisions and conducts hearings on discretionary land use actions.
People interested in serving on the commission should submit an application. They are available by sending an email: boc.assistants@co.douglas.or.us. Additional information is available by calling the Planning Department at 440-4289.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
